Richard's Fine Woodworking - One day when i was at a hardwood yard I saw this odd pallet that had plywood sides three feet tall, inside was what looked like cut up branches. The pieces you get out of each piece is not alot because the sap wood which is white is about one inch wide so if branch was seven inches wide( a wide one )you maybe get a board four and a half inches wide. And because the branches were anything but straight the length was short. So I could only use it in small pieces it all went into this sort of thing. The wood is called osage orange( should have been yellow ), it mixed nicely with padauk. Mix in some maple and ebony and you get a nice mix of color. Price $3000
